Great scuba equipment addition
This is a great case for the Canon camera. Seals it up tight and provides much needed protection. We used it without any external flash and it did ok.

Reliable
Product is reliable. Tested the product first with paper tissue inside, tried to push and turn all the controls. No leaks.
Bought the camera and housing so that my wife and I could take diving photos. It worked very well out first trip out. Prepared just like the instructions said. Greased the O ring and checked in my sink. Went diving the next day and checked for leaks with and with out the camera placed. Everything was good so off we went into the water. The housing is very positively buoyant. However using the lanyard I clipped it to my BC and I was fine with it. The lens on the housing is so clear you can’t tell it’s there. It allowed the camera to take beautiful pictures. The buttons were spaced nicely too. I could do everything while wearing 5 mm gloves. I can’t wait to use this camera in Bonaire. Definitely worth the money. I have no intentions of going past recreational limits at this point so I know this housing will do just fine. I know there are strobes that work and apparently lenses that attach to the housing so there are options if you want more flexibility than the camera can offer.

Good accessory for your A570
Well built case with accessible controls, even with 5mm gloves.
Make sure you follow the directions when preparing for dive and keep the lense clean.
I have not subjected this case to prolonged underwater use such as for snorkeling, but have used it in swimming pools and the ocean. It is possible to access all camera controls with the case on. So far, it has been leak-proof. If rinsed after use per instructions, there are usually no artifacts introduced into the image by the case glass. It is fairly bulky, which is a disadvantage when used on a kayak which is why I purchased it.

Works fine but one annoying thing…
This is the second underwater housing that I have owned from Canon.
The housing is simple to maintain and keeps a good seal.

Works as advertised
I bought this case for my A570 for a trip to Kauai, HI. Tested it in my sink at home first and everything seemed OK.

works great, satisfied with it
I too have only subjected this case to snorkeling. I do like that you can access all the controls with the case on, no problems with leakage or fogging.

Conversation piece
You will need to go to another review to find out how well this case works for scuba diving.
I bought it for a cruise to Alaska.
Bought this “toy” for taking videos on an upcoming dive trip to slip in my BC pocket and take with me when I’m exhausted carrying my 20 pounder camera system that takes only stills. Tried it out the first time and had poor results. Came home and read the manual…and went back to Monterey and was thrilled with the results. Even put together a little 4-minute ProShow Gold presentation featuring both stills with flash and videos without…using only the built-in flash and diffuser. It’s a great addition to UW photography…and light as a feather. Works well with all leftover Nikonos tray(s) and arms and perhaps an Inon strobe with fiber-optics…and a few screw-on lenses (in the future???)…but that would defeat my purpose of being very light and transportable. Thanks for the fun provided!
