I know there are so many light balancing tools out there that it seems that you can’t go to a camera show without seeing one per aisle. But I really fell for this when I saw it at WPPI. Basically it is an incident meter. Hold it at subject position so it reflects to the camera the light falling on the subject. Shoot a target shot and capture it. The key over expodisc is that it measures the light on the subject NOT the light on the camera position. Also it is the only one that can give accurate readings in mixed light. I own it and shot with it. I also have seen Hanson Fong use it and really respect Hanson’s chioces.
