Others have also pointed out the flaws: fragile-looking cord between the earphones, when they say "compatible with iTunes" they mean "this product is not compatible with iTunes most of the time".
That being said, if you download music from Amazon instead(:-), or save your CDs to iTunes in mp3, you can indeed simply drag-and-drop them into the memory of this great music player. Out of the water, so-so, but in the water, compared to earplug-style swimming music players--fantastic! And something that does indeed keep you swimming for several laps more until the song finishes...
What really needs to be added is, I think, some kind of waterproof connect-o-container that includes an electronic component in the form of a dongle to override the internal mp3 player, and allow people with iPods to connect their tunes up to these headphones directly, strap the iPod to their arm or waist, and go for a swim with the option of changing songs or playlists using a graphic interface. Beyond that, for what they charge, they could also offer some kind of way (silicon? waterproof miracle clay?) to mold the business ends of this device more closely to the shape of one's cheeks.

I have recently taken up swimming for weight loss. I am an average swimmer that has become very bored swimming. I read just about all of the reviews on water proof MP3 and decided on Finis SwiMP3. The price was competitive with the rest of the units. The other product reviews swayed me to buy this, because it was not a bulky unit, was designed for swimming, and it had no earphones to worry about. When I first got it it took about 10 times for my computer to reconize the USB connection. If Finis's enginnering dept would fix this, then it would have gotten 5 stars. Please fix this. After my computer finally reconized it loading songs was easy! The other draw back is the unit has no bass. It sounds like an AM radio under water. The technology is almost there! I would recommend this to any swimmer looking to extend there time in the water.

Received it for Christmas this year, and it's already being returned. Tried it a few times while swimming, and just couldn't make it work.

My sets are a variety - IMs, kicking, free, etc. I don't just swim laps. With that said, the unit was more distracting than useful. First, I could not for the life of me get both sides to sit on my head properly - when I did, as soon as I pushed off the wall they flapped around causing the sound to fluctuate. Second, when swimming, when I would breath, the sound would cut in and out since my ears were not constantly in the water. Third, doing backstroke or fly, forget it - too much going on, so the unit constantly moved due to the turbulance in the water.

I think it would have worked if I used duct tape to hold it in place - or a giant rubber band in addition to my goggles.

I think the unit would work great if you swim laps in a controlled environment. Throw in some sprints, other strokes, kicking, etc., and the unit just doesn't work.

If you are bored swimming, try swimming with friends, join a club, or print out workouts to follow. Save the MP3s for running.

So far the SwiMP3.1g is working great. It's not like listening to an MP3 when you're out for a walk or bike ride but it does deliver a pretty good sound. Downloading is pretty easy and it fits any goggles that I have.
I guess if I had to say anything bad about it, it would be that I wish it would pick up where I left off. Meaning that if I was listening to song number, say 23, when I finished my workout, it starts at number 1 when I start my swim the next day. Then I have to skip 13 songs before I get to where I left off. If there is a way to fix this, it's not clear in the instructions. There is a reset button there and it is also unclear in the instructions what this is for. I haven't at this time tried to contact the maker to find anything out. If anyone can help me with these two things, that would be great.

I used to swim 1 hour, 3 or 4 times a week, but I got bored and I moved to the gym where I could watch tv or listen to my ipod. I was looking for something like this swimp3 until I found it.

Now I left the gym and I am swimming again. The quality of the sound is good enough, the technology works as it supposed to, but I miss my ipod. It is like using those old and limited mp3s that do not exist any more.

I have been using the swimp3 for many many hours of swimming and it still works, but the light does not turn off inmediately now when was supposed to. It seems like it is starting to fail. The rest of it, still works as new. I use it together with a Finis snorkel for free style swimming and the experience is great, much better than running. I could be swimming for hours now.

We got this as last-item sale, on a wonderful promotion. When the item arrived, the box was busted and it was cracked on the hinge, and we were really afraid of using it under the water in that condition... but the construction was so incredible, the buttons worked so well, everything seemed to be so prime material and build... and we are so crazy and brave... we stuck our camera inside the case and off we went! And... it worked beautifully, even under 45 meters!!!! We took great pictures, inside and outside of the water (because we didn't want to open the case without washing it well, like the instructions say). It has no difference between with and without case; perfect photos every time! I have added a couple photos here for you guys to see! One is a sun set, one is me under water, and the other is my fiancee!

I bought this camera housing for our trip to the Caribbean for some diving at Bonaire and Aruba. It worked great and I ended up with photos of sunfish, octopus, and coral galore. It was water tight down to 70 feet (probably deeper if I had gone deeper, but it is dark down there). I fellow traveler who had done underwater photography before could not believe it was my first time taking pictures while diving. I would probably add a strobe flash next time I go (because it is dark down there), but my little flash with the diffuser did quite a great job. Only problem was with the digital lag. I got a lot of pictures of fish leaving the frame.

It worked well and I left the camera in the sand overnight without any problems. Only down side is that the jacket tends to fogg up with any humidity. The fog collects on the lens and results in blurry pictures. You have to pull the camera out and wipe off the lens periodically. I'm going to try putting one of those silicone, "do not eat" packets in the case with the camera to see if it helps.

I bought these as a birthday gift for my daughter's 9th birthday. She requested binoculars so I wanted to give her something that was durable, water resistant and with decent optics, but not for $75-$100. These seem to meet all those criteria. I would be happy to use them for camping or at concerts. The only reason I am giving 4 stars and not 5 is because I just don't know how water resistant they are -- haven't been in the rain with them. I advised my daughter NOT to test them for water resistance!

These are the best binoculars I have ever owned. I am not a hunter or dedicated bird watcher, so do not have the experience to compare against high priced models, but the clarity and operation of these are top notch.

I have small hands and a small face and these are the only binoculars I have found that allow the eye sockets to be width adjusted so you get the 'single circle' view you are supposed to in binoculars.

The crispness of the view even at the longest distances is amazing. Great value, great product.
